Samsung Hits 3 Million Galaxy S U.S. Shipments

The company has sold 7 million phones worldwide.

Reuters: Samsung says that it has sold 3 million Galaxy S smartphones in the U.S. since July. Worldwide, it's sold 7 million. "We're in a situation where we wish we had more supply," said Samsung's Paul Golden.

While the phone's sales are impressive, they still lag far behind the iPhone 4, which sold 3 million units in three weeks.
