Topix founder launches a new search engine that only selects information from trusted sites.

Daily Finance: Topix founder and former Sun engineer Rich Skrenta has launched a new public beta for a search engine called "Blekko." Backed by $24 million in venture capital, the service uses "slashtags" to identify high-quality sites. Instead of sorting through information from every Web site, Blekko will provided curated search results from trusted sites.
