Acer Plans to Unveil Multiple Tablets on Nov. 23 in New York

The second largest PC maker believes it can capture 15 to 20 percent of the tablet market.

Computerworld: Acer CEO Gianfranco Lanci has revealed new details about his company's tablet plans. Acer, which is the world's second largest PC maker, will launch multiple tablet PCs with several different form factors and operating systems on November 23. The company will also debut a new app store called the "New Generation Store."

Lanci predicted that his company will eventually capture 15 to 20 percent of the tablet market. He's not worried that tablets will affect sales of other Acer products because "The idea that the tablet will cannibalize the netbook, we don't see it, except in the U.S."
