Place Search makes it easier to find businesses in 50 million locations.

PCWorld: Google has revamped the way it presents local search results with a new "Place" option on the left hand side of the search screen. Users who click the link will be taken to a list of businesses in a local area, along with addresses, phone numbers, images, maps and reviews.

"More than 20 percent of Google searches are related to location. That's a very significant amount," said Google's Jackie Bavaro. "We're making it faster and easier to find places."
