Click Fraud Incidents Shoot Up in Q3

More than 20 percent of the clicks on paid ads are unintentional or malicious.

Computerworld: According to a new report from Click Forensics, a company that sells click fraud protection services, 22.3 percent of the clicks on pay-per-click (PPC) ads during the third quarter were unintentional or malicious. That's an 8 percent year-over-year increase in click fraud.

Companies spent $5.7 billion on PPC ads in the U.S. during the first half of 2010.
