Two new products make it easier for enterprises to connect to any cloud service, regardless of hypervisor, network or application type.

TechWorld: Citrix has unveiled two new products as part of its OpenCloud Platform. OpenCloud Access and OpenCloud Bridge are designed to help enterprises avoid the problems of vendor lock-in and easily access any cloud service, regardless of hypervisor, network or application type.

"Citrix is addressing an important issue in the emerging cloud space, how enterprise customers can leverage existing resources to take advantage of the immense benefits that innovative cloud solutions can bring," said Antonio Piraino of Tier1 Research. "Many vendors are working on isolated software solutions, but those that are able to deliver an open approach bring reality to the hybrid cloud model, making it seamless across networks, applications, hypervisors and workloads."

OpenCloud Access will become available before the end of the year, and OpenCloud Bridge will become available early next year.
