The new “IBM Cloud Service Provider Platform” will make it easier for communications companies to offer cloud-based products to their subscribers.

VentureBeat: IBM is rolling out a new bundle of hardware, software and services that it's calling the “IBM Cloud Service Provider Platform.” The offering aims to make it easier for communications services providers (CSPs) to roll out new cloud-based products to their subscribers with as little as six weeks lead time.

IBM says CSPs could use the platform to launch "hundreds or even thousands of new services" like "unified communications, collaboration, field force management, and sales tracking and customer relationship management applications."
