Verizon Wireless Stores to Carry iPad

The announcement adds more fuel to rumors that a Verizon iPhone is coming soon.

Wall Street Journal: For the first time ever, Verizon Wireless will sell an Apple product in its 2,000 retail outlets. The telecommunications company will begin offering the WiFi-only version of the iPad to customers on October 28. Verizon competitor AT&T will also begin selling the tablet in its retail stores on the same day.

The announcement comes in the midst of a swirl of rumors that Verizon will soon offer a version of the iPhone for its networks.
