No surprise--the phone with more glass breaks more often.

Tom's Guide: With 100 percent more glass than the iPhone 3GS, the iPhone 4 seems more fragile that its predecessor. Now a study by SquareTrade confirms it's true--the iPhone 4 glass breaks 82 percent more often than that on the 3GS. Owners of the newer phone seem to be more accident prone in general, reporting 68 percent more accidents of any type with their phones.

However, even with the more fragile materials, only 5 percent of iPhone 4 owners had a damage claim, leading the report authors to call it a "very well constructed device."
