Enhancements change the way users see results for entertainment-related searches.

PC Magazine: Yahoo is rolling out a series of enhancements to its core search engine for U.S. users. Now, entertainment-related searches will "cut to the chase," providing links to images, articles, concert tickets, etc. And new Netflix integration lets you add movies to your queue right from Yahoo. "Our goal is to understand what people care about and to make it fun for them to explore the most personally relevant, interesting, and informative content so that they can get things done faster and stay in the know," explained Yahoo's Shashi Seth. "Yahoo's new immersive Search is a cornerstone of the overall Yahoo experience, creating more ways to connect people with whatever and whoever interests them."

Yahoo is also introducing HTML5 apps for Android and iPhone and plans to release a series of "quick apps" soon.
