Internet Explorer Drops Below 50% Market Share Worldwide

Firefox comes in second and Chrome is third.

ReadWriteWeb: According to StatCounter, for the first time ever less than half of the world's Web users are browsing with Microsoft's Internet Explorer. However, in the U.S., the browser still has more than 50 percent of the market, and in Asia it's captured more than 60 percent of users.

Just two years ago, Internet Explorer had 67 percent of the worldwide market. It's since lost market share to number two Firefox and number three Chrome.
