India Says BlackBerry Message Tracking Does Not Work

Indian security agencies can't get Blackberry's promised monitoring capabilities to work.

PCWorld: In August, India threatened to ban BlackBerry smartphones unless parent company RIM provided a way for security services to intercept encoded messages. RIM said it would comply and was put on probation for 60 days.

Now, Indian news outlets are reporting that government officials have been unable to get the promised capabilities to work.
