Google is World's Most Attractive Employer; Microsoft Drops

IBM, Intel and Apple also place high on the survey. Consulting firm Universum has published the results of a survey that asked 130,000 job seekers which companies they would most like to work for. Google topped the list, while Microsoft fell from third on last year's list to seventh. The big four auditing firms--KPMG, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte--made up the rest of the top five behind the search giant.

The firm also published a separate list of engineering companies. IT-related companies on that list included Google (1), Microsoft (2), IBM (3), Intel (6), Apple (10), Cisco (11), HP (13), Dell (22) and Oracle (31).
