Cisco: LinkedIn Users Hammered with Malicious Malware

At one point, a quarter of all spam messages on the Internet were LinkedIn scams.

InfoWorld: On Monday, Cisco warned that a flood of fake LinkedIn messages were hitting inboxes. At one point, 24 percent of all spam on the Internet related to this scam.

Users who clicked the link in the fake messages were taken to a page that read "PLEASE WAITING.... 4 SECONDS" and then sent to Google. Meanwhile, the site infected their PCs with the Zeus Trojan, which attempts to steal login credentials, including banking information.
