Is this a sign that Facebook is more valuable than Apple?

Wall Street Journal: Forbes has put out its annual list of the richest 400 people in America, and once again a number of top tech executives made the list. It surprises no one that Microsoft founder Bill Gates sits at the top of the list, or that Oracle’s Larry Ellison, Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Dell’s Michael Dell, Microsoft's Steve Ballmer and Paul Allen, and Amazon’s Jeff Bezos all made the top 20.

What is a little surprising is that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's net worth surged 245 percent to land him at number 35, ahead of Apple's Steve Jobs at number 42. However, that doesn't mean that Facebook is suddenly more valuable than Apple. Zuckerberg owns a very large share of Facebook, while most of Jobs' money comes from Disney stock. And the actual value of Facebook is pretty debatable.

In unrelated news, Mark Zuckerberg announced he'll be donating $100 million to Newark schools.
