Microsoft To Business Users: Hold Off On IE9

Redmond advises enterprise users to stick with Internet Explorer 8 instead of trying out the new beta.

InformationWeek: Microsoft's new Internet Explorer (IE) 9 browser has been getting a lot of attention, praise and downloads in recent weeks, and that has the company a little worried. They're warning enterprise users that the release is only a beta and advising them to stick with IE 8 until the company releases the final code for IE 9.

"Until the final code of Internet Explorer 9 is released to the Web (RTW), we recommend businesses first move to Windows 7 Enterprise with Internet Explorer 8," Microsoft's Rich Reynolds warned in a blog.
