Best Buy CEO: iPad Eating Into Laptop Sales By Up to 50 Percent

The company will begin selling the iPad in all of its stores before the end of the month.

Wall Street Journal: If Best Buy's internal sales data is any indication, consumers are choosing to buy iPads instead of traditional PCs. Best Buy Chief Executive Brian Dunn says that iPad sales have decreased PC sales at the store by up to 50 percent, and TV sales are also down. "People are willing to disproportionately spend for these devices because they are becoming so important to their lives," said Dunn.

Best Buy will begin offering the iPad in all of its stores later this month.
