Internet Explorer 9 Beta: Microsoft Reinvents the Browser

New version of the world's most popular Web browser offers a simplified interface and faster performance.

ZDNet: Today, Microsoft officially takes the wraps off the first public beta of Internet Explorer 9. Thanks to a greatly simplified interface, the new build makes the browser seem to disappear so that Web sites can use most of the screen space. Other notable new features include a combined address/search box, faster performance and pinned shortcuts.

The release comes with one notable warning, however--IE9 will not work with Windows XP.
