Twitter Unveils 'Faster, Richer'

Site now offers a split screen that makes it easier to see multimedia content.

Cnet: Twitter has launched a major re-design of its site that is designed to be faster and to make it easier to view photos, videos, geo-location tags and other content. The site now features a split screen with the familiar Twitter timeline on the left and multimedia content showing on the screen on the right.

Analysts note that the new site offers many features that previously were only available through third-party Twitter apps.
