A new worm hit the Internet Thursday and spread rapidly as users clicked on a link that looked like a PDF.

PCWorld: McAfee Labs is warning of a new worm that hit e-mail users on Thursday. The malware arrives in e-mail messages with the subject line "Here you have" or "Just for you." It looks like a PDF file, but when users click the link, they get an executable file that e-mails the contents of their address books, copies files and attempts to delete security software.

You can avoid infection by not clicking on suspicious links. If your computer is already infected, experts recommend disconnecting your system from the Internet and then installing the latest anti-virus software from a removable drive.
