Apple Lifts App Store Approval Shroud for Developers

Apple lifts its ban on Flash and publishes its App Store Review Guidelines.

PCWorld: Apple has been heavily criticized for its App Store approval process, but now the company is taking steps to alleviate that criticism. First, the company is publishing its App Store Approval Guidelines for the first time. That should help answer developer complaints that they have no idea why their apps are rejected.

Second, the company is removing its ban on third-party development tools, including Flash. That move may also help the company improve relations with developers, many of whom were defecting to other platforms.
