Three Quarters of U.S. Internet Users Fall Victim to Cybercrime

In China, 83 percent of users have been hacked.

ReadWriteWeb: New research from security vendor Norton says that two thirds of all Internet users and three quarters of those in the U.S. have fallen prey to cybercrime. The situation is worst in China, where 83 percent of users have been victimized.

The study also analyzes users' emotional response to being hacked. "People do feel angry, but we also found that people feel pretty guilty," said Norton's Marian Merritt, noting that 54% of respondents said they "should have been more careful."
