Google Instant Makes Search Interactive

New feature begins searching as you type.

Cnet: Tuesday in a press conference at San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art, Google unveiled a new search technology it calls "Google Instant." Google's VP of search, Marissa Mayer, explained that Google now predicts what users are looking for and shows results "as you type, not after you type."

Mayer also said that it takes Google just 400 milliseconds to deliver search results--much less than the 9 seconds it takes to type the average query.
