Launches Chatter Mobile Apps for Apple, Android and Blackberry

SaaS giant claims new tool will help make the desktop "obsolete."

ComputerWeekly: has launched a new mobile version of Chatter, its enterprise social networking service. Chatter apps for Apple iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Blackberry devices will be available later this year, and Android support will come in early 2011.

According to CEO Marc Benioff, "The combination of devices like the iPad or the new iPod touch with mobile apps like Chatter that push information to you in real-time are making the desktop obsolete."
