Computerworld: Today, HP will take the wraps off three significant new products. The first is the Envy 17 3D, a laptop with a 3D display, a Blu-Ray player, advanced speakers and 2TB of storage. It aims to provide cinema-like entertainment and will retail this holiday season for less than $2,000.
HP is also unveiling its first netbook featuring a dual-core processor. It's about 20 percent faster than its predecessors and has better graphics as well. It costs $399.
Finally, the company is offering a new Wireless TV Connect kit, which will allow televisions to act as computer monitors. With the kit, users with movies stored on a laptop can play those movies on their television without hooking up any wires. It will sell for $199.
