The bidding war between Dell and HP is over--and Dell won.

VentureBeat: Dell announced this morning that enterprise storage vendor 3Par had accepted its $1.6 billion offer to buy the company. In the days prior, 3Par had also received a $1.6 billion offer from HP and an earlier $1.15 billion offer from Dell.

Analysts say the acquisition will strengthen Dell's position in the enterprise storage market.
