Vulnerability Disclosures Increase By 36% In 2010

An IBM report says most of the 4,396 new vulnerabilities disclosed in the first half of the year are problems with Web apps.

InformationWeek: A new IBM X-Force report says that information about 4,396 security vulnerabilities was released in the first half of 2010, a 36 percent increase from the previous year. The majority (55 percent) of those vulnerabilities related to Web apps.

The report also found obfuscated attacks and PDF exploits are on the rise, while phishing is declining.
