HP Tops Dell Bid For 3PAR

Last week, Dell offered $1.3 billion for the data storage company, but HP is topping that with a $1.6 billion offer.

Forbes: Rivals HP and Dell are now in a bidding war for enterprise storage vendor 3PAR. Last week, Dell offered $1.3 billion to purchase the company. This week, HP is topping it with a $1.6 billion offer.

"HP's proposal offers superior value to 3PAR's shareholders. Our global reach, strong routes to market and commitment to innovation uniquely position HP as the ideal fit for 3PAR," said HP's Dave Donatelli.
