Dell's Q2 Profits Rise on Strong Enterprise Sales

The company's net income rose 16 percent to reach $545 million.

NY Times: On Thursday, Dell reported that its second quarter income grew 14 percent from the previous year to hit $545 million. Revenue was up 22 percent to reach $15.5 billion.

Dell said that strong demand for enterprise servers, network hardware, storage and services contributed to the positive report. In addition, revenue from Brazil, Russia, India and China (sometimes called the BRIC) grew 52 percent and accounted for 12 percent of the company's overall earnings.
