Adobe Confirms PDF Zero-Day, Plans Rush Patch

The company plans to issue a fix for a Reader vulnerability during the week of August 16.

InfoWorld: During the Black Hat conference, researcher Charlie Miller revealed a security flaw in Adobe Reader and Acrobat software. Now, Adobe says it will release a patch for the vulnerability the week of August 16.

The next major version of Reader, due out later this year, will include "sandboxing" technology that will prevent problems like this most recent vulnerability.
