Windows 7 Passes Vista in Users, XP Still King

Windows XP has twice as many users as Windows 7 and Vista combined.

eWeek: While Microsoft's newest flavor of Windows is gaining ground, it has a long way to go to catch the entrenched Windows XP. According to NetApplications, 14.46 percent of PCs now run Windows 7, edging out Windows Vista's 14.34 percent. But XP still dominates with a whopping 61.87 percent market share, which NetApplications notes is "double share of Vista and 7 combined.”

Mac OS X 10.6 and 10.5 use stayed about the same, with 2.48 percent and 1.82 percent of the market, respectively.
