Citing Demand, Intel Tops Forecast

The chip maker enjoys its best quarter ever.

NY Times: Intel has reported record sales during the second quarter, with revenues of $10.77 billion and net income of $2.89 billion. Those numbers beat analysts expectations. Intel CEO Paul Otellini said it was the company's best quarter ever.

During the same quarter one year ago, Intel reported a loss of $398 million.
