New version of Blackberry server software could help the company make more inroads in the enterprise.

NetworkWorld: Research in Motion (RIM) has released the new Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) Version 5.0.2, which includes a number of new security features for enterprise users. For example, the new Individual-Liable Devices Policy allows users to separate their corporate use from their personal use of their smartphones. The upgrade also includes the ability to wipe just the corporate data on a phone while leaving personal data intact.

Analyst Jack Gold notes that these change may make enterprise IT managers more willing to allow workers to use corporate devices for personal purposes.
