Apple Making New Push Into China

The company will open 25 new Chinese retail stores in the next two years.

NY Times: Until now, most Chinese Apple fans have bought Apple products from smugglers. But the company is hoping to change that with 25 new retail stores in the country within the next two years. This weekend, it will open a second Chinese flagship store in Shanghai.

“Apple plans a major invasion of China over the next 18 months to two years,” noted analyst Charles Wolf. “To date, Apple has not been a force in China. But it will be.”
