Nimbula has already attracted $5.75 million in funding and six customers.

Cnet: Chris Pinkham and Willem van Biljon have already helped create one of the most successful public clouds--Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud. Now the duo is teaming up to help enterprises develop their own private clouds.

The two have founded a new company called "Nimbula" with a product (Nimbula Director) which manages private cloud infrastructure. So far the company has attracted $5.75 million in funding and has six companies beta testing its product. They plan to officially release Nimbula Director later this year.
