Dell in Talks with Google over Chrome OS

A Dell executive confirms that company has had talks about using Google's operating system on its laptops.

Reuters: Dell's Amit Midha has confirmed that the company is in talks with Google about Chrome and/or Android operating systems on its products, including laptops.

"We have to have a point of view on the industry and technology direction two years, three years down the road, so we continuously work with Google on this," he said. "So with Chrome or Android or anything like that we want to be one of the leaders."

Google plans to release the Chrome OS sometime this fall.
