Researchers at Nielsen say that 75 percent of people online visit social networking sites or blogs.

NY Times: According to market research firm Nielsen, three quarters of global Internet users visit social networking sites or blogs, and they spend 22 percent of their online time, 110 billion minutes, in social networking activities. In April, the average Web user spent 6 hours on social sites, up from 3.5 hours the year before.

Not surprisingly, Web users spend more time on Facebook than on any other site. However, Google reaches the most users--82 percent of the world's Internet users. Other top sites include Microsoft MSN, Bing, Yahoo, AOL, eBay, and Apple.
