Google's Chrome Computing System To Debut In Autumn

The company says it expects "millions of users" the first day the new OS becomes available.

AFP: At the CompuTex show in Taipei, Google's Sundar Pichai announced that the long-awaited Chrome operating system will be released this fall. "It's something which we are very excited by ... We expect it to reach millions of users on day one," he said.

The OS is based on the Google Chrome browser and will only support Web applications. More than 70 million people use the Chrome browser.
