Firefox Losing Early Adopters to Chrome - Will Mainstream Users Follow?

While Internet Explorer and Firefox still lead in the browser wars, Chrome is gaining ground.

ReadWriteWeb: According to the latest statistics from NetMarketShare, Internet Explorer still leads among browsers, with 59.95 percent of the market, followed by Firefox (24.59 percent), Chrome (6.73 percent), and Safari (4.72 percent). By their statistics, Chrome has gained more than 4 percent of the market over the past year, while IE lost 8 percent and Firefox gained slightly.

Perhaps more interesting, the early adopters who visit ReadWriteWeb seem to be switching from Firefox to Chrome. At the site, Chrome users surged up 11 percent over the year, while Firefox users dropped 15 percent.
