A new study shows people have wasted the equivalent of 550 years playing Google Pac-Man.

Time: When Google put up a Pac-Man game on its home page to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the classic video game, the average time users spent on the site increased from 11 seconds to 36 seconds. Software company Rescue Time, which completed the study, then calculated that Google's 504 million users spent 4.8 million extra hours on the site, the equivalent of 550 years. Assuming that users' time is worth an average of $25 per hour, that means workers wasted $120 million worth of time.
