Microsoft Plans Shake-Up

Competition from Apple and Google is spurring management changes at the Microsoft division responsible for games, mobile phones, and other devices.

Wall Street Journal: Unnamed sources are saying that Microsoft will announce major organizational changes to its Entertainment & Devices Division, the group responsible for XBox and Windows Phone. The division reported $1.67 billion in sales during the first quarter, 11 percent of Microsoft's $14.5 billion in overall revenue during that time.

Sources say J Allard, the chief experience officer and chief technology officer of the group, will likely leave his position, but the management changes could go much farther than that, as Microsoft struggles to keep up with competitors Apple and Google.
