PCWorld: Google has offered up an overview of the latest version of its mobile operating system, Android 2.2, codenamed "Froyo." According to executives, the new OS includes more than 20 new features aimed at enterprise users.
"Number 1, we've become Microsoft Exchange-friendly," said Google's Vic Gundotra, vice president of engineering. Other enterprise features include APIs for device policy management, an application data backup API, and a cloud-to-device messaging API.
The final code will be released to OEMs in the next couple of weeks. Developers can download the SDKs and NDKs now.
