Google Embraces VMware, App Engine for Enterprise Cloud Push

The tech giant rolls out its new App Engine for Business.

CIO Update: Google has announced two new moves designed to woo more enterprises to it's cloud-based services. First, the company has rolled out a new, more enterprise-oriented version of its App Engine. The Google App Engine for Business offers a complete development environment to aid companies that want to build and host applications in Google's cloud infrastructure.

Second, Google has partnered with VMware and will support the company's Spring Java apps on the Google App Engine. The two are also working on combining VMware's Spring Roo application development tool with Google's Web Toolkit.
