DigiTimes: Unnamed sources say that Apple supplier Foxconn plans to ship 4.5 million of the new Apple iPhone 4G devices in the first half of 2010 and 19.5 million in the second half of the year.
Sources are also revealing more details about the device. The new phone will use IPS (in-plane switching) panels with FFS (fringe-field switching) technology and a 960×640 resolution, providing better resolution than Android competitors. It will run on the Arm Cortex A8 processor and double its memory to 512MB. In addition, the new iPhone panel is 33 percent thinner in order to allow for a longer lasting battery.
