The micro-blogging site has fixed a security hole which users could use to force other people to follow them.

PCWorld: Yesterday morning, Twitter users were shocked to discover that no one was following their feeds. The temporary situation was the result of Twitter's efforts to plug a security hole which allowed users to force other people to follow their feeds.

"We identified and resolved a bug that permitted a user to 'force' other users to follow them. We're now working to rollback all abuse of the bug that took place," the company said.

The situation appeared to be resolved with Twitter service back to normal by yesterday afternoon.
