First Signs of Life in Tech Jobs

The official government reports show IT hiring on the rise.

Wall Street Journal: During the first quarter of 2010, several tech companies said they planned to add to their workforce--most notably Intel which planned to hire 1,000 to 2,000 new workers this year. Official employment numbers released Friday show that hiring is actually beginning to take place.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the tech industry saw 10,300 jobs created during April. The majority of the growth came in software engineering, which grew by 7,300 workers during the month.
