Google Speeds Up Chrome Browser

Beta version also boasts several new HTML5 features.

InfoWorld: According to Google, the latest beta version of the Chrome browser improves performance 30 to 35 percent on benchmark tests. Those performance gains come primarily from changes to its Javascript engine.

The new browser also incorporates some new HTML5 features, such as geolocation APIs, application caching and drag-and-drop capabilities. Other new features include the ability to save user settings and an integrated Flash plug-in.
