The site plans to change Internet browsing into a social experience.

NetworkWorld: At its F8 conference, Facebook unveiled big plans to change the way people experience the Web. Network World writes, "It's not just social networking anymore; it's social domination."

As part of its plans, Facebook unveiled three key new technologies: social plug-ins, the "like" button for all Internet sites; Open Graph, an evolution of Facebook Connect which makes it easier for users to share Internet sites on their newsfeeds; and the Open Graph API, which allows developers to customize their sites for individual users.

The moves could generate a backlash from Google and privacy advocates.
