Google Buys Some of Apple's Former Chip Team

The tech giant has purchased chip company Agnilux, which was founded by several of the engineers who helped create the iPad.

PCMagazine: Yesterday, Google quietly announced that it has purchased Agnilux, a secretive firm founded by several former Apple employees who helped design the iPad architecture. About the deal, Google said only, "We're pleased to welcome the Agnilux team to Google, but we don't have any additional information to share right now."

Analysts believe that Agnilux may have been working on low-power server architecture.
