Changes in IT Exec Pay

While most IT staffers haven't seen a pay increase in the past three years, plenty of IT executives have.

CIO Insight: How has the recession affected IT exec's pay? A new report from Janco Associates shows that many, but not all, IT executives have seen their pay stay about the same or increase over the past three years.

For example, VP/CIOs have seen their average total pay increase 3.54 percent, from $174,939 to $181,515. And the pay for the VP, Technical Services, title has increased 5.54 percent from $140,728 to $148,531. On the flip side, compensation for VP, Consulting Services, has declined 6.26 percent to $131,998.
